The Mission
We are the Raleigh Youth Chapter of the North Carolina A. Philip Randolph Institute.
Our mission is to build political, social, and economic power for young Black leaders across North Carolina.
We achieve this by educating, organizing, and mobilizing our community around the issues that matter most — including voting rights, fair jobs, healthcare access, environmental justice, and protecting our future.
Youth Development
We believe the next generation of leaders is already here.
Through our Youth Chapter, young people learn:
How to canvass their neighborhoods
How to phone bank and mobilize voters
How to organize their peers and lead campaigns
We don’t just talk about civic engagement — we live it.
This Month’s Highlight:
Our Youth Chapter called over 500 households about voter registration and engaged 50 young people in our phone banking drive and door-knocking campaign
Our youth-led volunteers gave away 100 school supplies to back-to-school students.

Voice — We stand with courage and integrity so our communities hear us.
Power — We train Black youth to lead with ambition, knowledge, and energy.
Strength — United, we stand strong and committed to fighting for our rights.
Youth Development
Through our Youth Chapters, we build leadership from the ground up — teaching canvassing, phone banking, and letter writing so young people learn how to organize, advocate, and win.
Youth Development
Through our Youth Chapters, we accomplish leadership development for our youth. The strategy is to create an atmosphere where the youth can work with their peers and accomplish work to help their communities. We teach them canvassing, phone banking, and letter writing. We start leadership development at an early age.
